K. A. Thomsen is the author of the children's Ice Age cowboy series, The Hidden Valley, which was published with Lavender and White Equestrian. She has been writing stories since she was nine years old. Her poetry, articles and short stories have been featured in Travel Thru History, The Capilano Review, Black Press, Canadian Stories and Levitate Magazine. When not writing she enjoys baking, forest walks, horseback riding and performance arts. She lives in the lower mainland of British Columbia with her husband and two children.
